Fly online on VATSIM
vJetOps encourages every pilot to fly online. A charter flown with real controllers, real traffic and a filed flight plan is the closest thing to the real job: VATSIM is where we fly, and the portal and the tracker are built to work with it.
5 vJetOps pilots have flown charters on VATSIM.
How to fly a vJetOps charter on VATSIM
- Join VATSIM for free at vatsim.net and install a pilot client (vPilot or xPilot).
- Put your VATSIM ID (CID) in your vJetOps profile. The tracker and the live map then show when you fly online, and the flight is marked as flown on VATSIM.
- Plan the charter with SimBrief from the booking and prefile it to VATSIM from the same page. The flight plan remarks say the flight is a vJetOps charter, so controllers know who operates it.
- Use your aircraft's registration as your callsign, as business aviation does.
- Fly with the tracker open. While you are connected, you are told when a controller comes online where you are.
Follow the VATSIM rules
Flying online means following VATSIM's Code of Conduct and the controllers' instructions. New to it? VATSIM's pilot training starts at my.vatsim.net/learn.
IVAO too
Flying on IVAO? Add your IVAO ID in your profile and the tracker notes those flights the same way.
